The Dignity Filter is a simple but powerful lens to evaluate laws, systems, and everyday behavior.
Not tied to any party, religion, or ideology—
It’s rooted in one non-negotiable truth:
Every human deserves to be treated with dignity.
If something violates dignity, it must be challenged.
If it uplifts dignity, it must be protected.
The Five-Point Dignity Test
Ask these five questions of any law, belief, or institution:
- Does it uphold or undermine human dignity?
→ Does it recognize inherent worth—or treat people as disposable, inferior, or invisible?
- Does it include or exclude?
→ Does it welcome diversity and protect equity—or reinforce marginalization and bias?
- Does it promote self-agency or enforce dependence?
→ Does it build individual and collective power—or create helplessness and control?
- Does it foster unity or fuel division?
→ Does it bring people together across differences—or pit them against each other?
- Would I accept this if it affected me or someone I love?
→ Does it pass the empathy test—or fail the golden rule?
If it fails even one—it fails the filter.
Dignity isn’t optional. It’s the foundation.
